MA in Radio, Television and Cinema (Turkish)

Why MA in Radio, Television and Cinema at Ibn Haldun University?

The field of communication is not limited to channels of information but also examines the cultural, political, and artistic transformations of societies. Radio, Television, and Cinema stand as key drivers of this transformation, requiring both academic and professional expertise in today’s world.

The MA Program in Radio, Television and Cinema at Ibn Haldun University is one of our most established programs. With its newly updated curriculum, it has been redesigned to be more inclusive and comprehensive. Conducted entirely in Turkish, the program offers a solid academic pathway for those aspiring to pursue an academic career or to specialize professionally in the media sector. It prepares students to engage in scientific research, acquire methodological knowledge, and experience the full process of academic production through thesis writing.

In the first two semesters, students complete core courses and a seminar, after which they continue with their thesis research under the supervision of an academic advisor. Candidates from non-communication backgrounds are required to take three additional preparatory courses before joining the program. International applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Turkish.

Alongside theory- and methodology-oriented courses, practice-based courses supported by our studio facilities are also integral to the program. In this way, students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also develop practical skills. Graduation requires the successful presentation of a seminar, ensuring that all students experience academic production and scholarly communication.
